£2 National Lottery Scratch Cards

The most common and popular of the National Lottery scratch cards are without a doubt the range of £2 scratch cards.

It’s not just because they’re affordable - £2 scratch cards are also far better value than £1 cards, as they have a higher payback percentage. All £2 cards have more chances to win than £1 cards and most of them have at least 2 games included.

Here’s the Lemons & Sevens £2 national lottery scratch card review, where we cover the £2 scratch cards with the highest chances of winning, the highest payback, and the best jackpot chances.

Chances of winning on a £2 scratch card

It is important to remember that your chances of winning on any scratch card are slim but £2 cards will in general have a 1 in 4 chance of being a winner.

This means for every 4 cards you play you should have 1 which is a winner, on average. However, this also includes break even cards where you just win the cost of the scratch card back. If you are looking to make a profit, then the chances of winning on a £2 scratch card is roughly 1 in 6.5.

Payback Percentage on £2 Scratch Cards

Of the scratch cards we played, the payback percentage was always between 65% and 69% for £2 scratch cards. This means that for every £1 you spend on a £2 scratch card you can expect to win back 65p - 69p on average.

When looking for the ideal £2 scratch card to play a higher payback percentage is always better.

Best £2 Scratch card Payback Rates:

Here are the £2 national lottery scratch cards that have the best payback rates:

  1. £250k Gold (69.50%)

  2. £500k Red (68.01%)

  3. £100 Loaded (65.98%)

£2 Scratch Card Jackpots

The thing we all dream of: one day winning The Jackpot. With £2 scratch cards you can expect jackpots starting from £50k and going all the way up to £500k. However, with so much variation the odds of actually winning on different £2 scratch cards can vary wildly too.

For example, your odds of getting the jackpot on the £500k Red £2 scratch card is 1 in 5,976,060. To play that many cards you would need to spend nearly £12M before hitting the jackpot.

When you compare that to the odds of getting the £100k Jackpot on the £2 Cash Drop scratch card at only 1 in 1,654,420, it doesn’t seem to unimaginable, right? Though it’s still a once in a lifetime occurrence, it's nearly 4 times as likely.

Best £2 Scratch card Jackpot Chances:

If you’re only in the scratchcard game for the jackpots, not measly payback rates, here’s the £2 national lottery scratch cards with the best chances of winning the jackpot:

  1. Cash Drop (1 in 1,654,420)

  2. Lucky Bonus (1 in 2,210,760)
